Mike has over 20 years of public accounting experience and is well versed in corporate taxation. He has served companies in the service, retail, and manufacturing industries, working with businesses ranging in size from pre-profit startups to companies with $6 billion of revenue. Mike also works with individuals on tax compliance, tax planning, and consulting on sales of assets/businesses, basis calculations, and purchase agreements. He also defends clients with IRS controversy issues such as audits, penalty abatement, and tax appeals. Mike has worked with individuals with up to $77 million in income. Mike recently retired as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga teaching tax law, and provides tax tips weekly on local radio and television, advising on tax tips.
Olena
Accountant
Olena graduated from Eastern Washington University magna cum laude with an Accounting degree. Olena joined MDP, PLLC in July of 2017 and specializes is small business accounting and taxation. Prior to joining MDP, PLLC she worked as a tax preparer for three years at a local tax firm. At MDP, PLLC she provides accounting and tax preparation services to companies that range in size from startup companies to businesses with over $50 million in revenue. She has also worked with individuals clients, managing up to $10 million in income. Outside the office, Olena volunteers as a foreign language teacher and is an active member in her church where she helps organize youth summer camp programs.
